Getting Started

Creating your Laki account is quick and simple:

  • Download the Laki app from the App Store
  • Tap "Sign Up" on the welcome screen
  • Choose to sign up with email or Google Sign-In
  • Complete your health profile with basic information
  • Set your wellness goals and preferences

Your account will be ready in less than 2 minutes!

To reset your password:

  • Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen
  • Enter your registered email address
  • Check your email for the reset link
  • Follow the link to create a new password

Note: If you used Google Sign-In, you'll need to reset your Google password instead.

Yes! Google Sign-In is available and recommended for:

  • Faster account creation and login
  • Enhanced security with Google's authentication
  • No need to remember another password
  • Seamless experience across devices

Your Google profile information (name, email) will be used to set up your Laki account.

Privacy & Data

Laki collects only what's necessary for your wellness journey:

  • Account Data: Name, email, profile preferences
  • Health Data: Weight, goals, dietary preferences
  • Analysis Data: Food photos, skincare selfies (processed; in limited testing contexts may be retained for a short duration for app and service enhancement, then permanently deleted)
  • Chat Data: Conversations with AI coaches
  • Voice Data: Voice messages (transcribed; audio deleted immediately after processing)

We DO NOT collect location data or share your information with advertisers.

Your data security is our top priority:

  • Encryption: All data encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Minimal Storage: Voice audio deleted immediately after processing; photos may be retained for a short duration only in limited testing contexts for app and service enhancement and are otherwise not retained beyond the analysis
  • Secure Servers: Enterprise-grade security infrastructure
  • Access Control: Strict employee access policies
  • Regular Audits: Security assessments and vulnerability testing

Your health information is never sold or shared with third parties.

No. Images stored locally on your device are under your control. We do not back up or retain copies of locally stored images, and we cannot restore them if they are deleted by you or by your device's operating system.

You can delete your account anytime:

  • Go to Profile → Account Settings
  • Tap "Delete Account"
  • Confirm your decision
  • Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days

Important: This action is irreversible. You'll lose all progress and history.

Technical Issues

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Force close and restart the app
  • Restart your device
  • Check for app updates in the App Store
  • Free up device storage (need 1GB+ available)
  • Update your iOS to the latest version

  • Find Laki and enable camera access
  • Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone
  • Find Laki and enable microphone access

Restart the app after changing permissions. These are required for food analysis and voice chat features.

Voice recording issues are usually due to:

  • Microphone permissions (check in Settings)
  • Background noise or poor audio environment
  • Device microphone hardware issues
  • Network connectivity problems
